How Did it Work ? -> The primary objective of YouthBank is to empower young people, enabling grantmakers to have a real say in the distribution of funding throughout the City of Salford.
Through training, young people’s capacity to cope with a number of challenging tasks is built.

The panel meets once or twice a month to assess and make decisions on funding applications received from other local projects. The young people involved also receive training and the opportunities to build their confidence and skills as grantmakers. The confidence developed through YouthBank training will assist those young people who feel it is appropriate for them to eventually become part of the Community Committee budget groups. Grantmakers are also involved in a number of leisure activities, cultural awareness activities, and team-building events

Funding Streams -> YouthBank is a new and exciting way for young people to access money YouthBank · Grants are for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 19 years YouthBank aims to help young people engage in positive activities, which benefit both the individual and their local community.
